Where the Creek Carries Her
.☆. ☆. ☆.
As trees spoke softly in their quiet way,
She lingered, reluctant to leave.
The forest held still, giving her space,
To breathe, to listen, simply be.
The creek rushed onward through root and stone,
Its silver voice slipping free;
And over the rocks, its babbling song,
Carried her somewhere yet to be.
